What are true wireless earphones?

True wireless earphones are earphones powered by a built-in rechargeable battery and connect to your phone or media device via Bluetooth®, which eliminates the need for wires.

Are wireless earphones safe? 

Yes. According to the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) and the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA), Bluetooth® earphones and transmitters are safe for adult humans and there is no proven evidence to suggest any detrimental health effects. The earphones receive and transmit signals via Bluetooth® from the phone/media device, which is a short range, low energy UHF radio wave. The energy of a Bluetooth® signal is around one thousandth that of your standard smart phone telecom signal. It is advised however that such devices should not be used for prolonged periods of time, as with your smart phone and all other EMF transmitting devices. 

How can I pay for my order?

Is it safe to pay by credit card?

Yes, we do not store any of your credit card information as it is handled by our payment processor Stripe®, which is a leading global internet payment provider and is regulated.

Why do you need my email? 

We keep your email in the event that we need to contact you or track an order if you send us an inquiry. We will not share your email with any third party and will not send you promo/ news/ updates if you have specified not to.

My item arrived damaged, what should I do?

If you're item arrived damaged, do not use it and do not try to repair it. Please contact us immediately at info@boombuds.com.au, provide your receipt/proof of purchase and as much details of the issues as possible and we will do our best to resolve the issue as quick as possible.

Does my item come with warranty?

What is a 30 day money back guarantee? 

If you are not satisfied with your order, you have 30 days from the date of receiving your order to return your order for a full refund. Please refer to "Returns" section of our Terms and Conditions for full details.

I have lost an earphone or charging case, can I buy a replacement? 

Yes, spares can be purchased here.

How do I charge the earphones?

B1 Earphones: Simply place the earphones inside the charging case in their correct orientation. The LED will glow red when charging and will turn green when the earphones are fully charged. To charge the charging case, simply plug the USB charging cable to the charging case and connect it to a USB port.

S1 Earphones: Connect the USB cable to a USB port. The LED will glow red when charging and blue when the earphones are fully charged.

How long do the earphone batteries last? 

B1 Earphones: 3 hours of continuous play at 80% volume.

S1 Earphones: 8 hours of continuous play at 80% volume.

How do I know if the earphones have low battery? 

The LED will start to flash red and a "battery low" voice message will sound.

How do I know which earphones go into which ear? 

The right earphone has an 'R' on the top of the front face and the left earphone has an 'L' on the top of the front face.

How do I turn on/off the earphones?

To turn on the earphones, press the multi-function button (MFB) for 2 seconds until the LED flashes green. To turn off the earphones, hold the MFB for 2 seconds until the LED light flashes red. Another way to turn off the earphones is to simply put them back into the charging case.

How do I connect the earphones to my phone/media device? 

B1 Earphones: For first time pairing, press the MFB on one earphone for 4 seconds until the LED is flashing red and green. Then, activate Bluetooth on your phone/media device and scan until the earphone is visible (it will appear as 'B1-L' or 'B1-R'). Once it is connected, turn on the second earphone by holding the MFB for 2 seconds and they will automatically pair with each other and connect with your phone/ media device. Note: only one earphone needs to be paired to your phone/ media device. If both are paired, remove one, as this can confuse the connection. For more setup information, refer to the User Manual

S1 Earphones: For first time pairing, hold the MFB on the earphones for 4 seconds until the LED flashes red and blue (this activates pairing mode). Then, activate Bluetooth on your phone/media device and scan until the earphone is visible (it will appear as 'Boombuds S1'). Select in the menu to connect.

Can I answer calls with the earphones? 

Yes, the earphones have a built-in microphone. To answer calls, press the MFB. 

Will the earphones fall out of my ear? 

Our earphones are light weight and have been designed for a secure and ergonomic fit. In most situations of rapid head movement, such as whilst running, jumping and conventional exercise, the earphones will not fall out of your ear (assuming that the earphones are inserted correctly in the ear and an appropriate sized earplug is used).

The earplug is too big/small for my ear, what can I do? 

We provide additional pairs of small, medium and large sized earplugs. You can swap and fit different sizes until the earphones fill comfortably and securely in your ear.
